My Creative Space

DSC05067

I'm still up to the usual, chipping away on a jug cover or two.  This one is being blocked and will be given as a gift today.

When time permits, I am also playing around with some Habu stainless steel.  I bought some a few weeks ago and have been having a bit of a play.

There's pattern-followed play...

and some free form...

It's so very fine and therefore lovely and delicate to play with.  The special thing about the stainless steel Habu is that it has a "memory", meaning it you can stretch it or crush it and it will keep it's shape.  It's so much fun.

I have a few interesting ideas I'm toying with.  Hopefully they will make a show in this space soon.

For more spaces pop on over to Kirsty's.

Ooh, the stainless steel is intriguing. I especially like the black freeform version.

Yet another fabulous jug cover. I think I need to commission one from you for a friend... (one who has jugs, snicker snicker). Let's chat. As for that Habu, looks WICKED, don't let Tania see it or she'll be acting all crazy-like.

Stainless steal... wow!! I do like the purple jug cover but the black ones look so 'delicate gothic' like.

Wow - stainless steel. What a brilliant idea. Is it tricky to work with? I imagine that it is... but who knows. How creative are you to even think of it. Brilliant.

Love the new look blog header too. You've got such great style.

Lady, I admire your Habu-ing. I imagine there would be a smidge more control doing the crochet thing, but I reckon I'll sit back and admire - knitting the stuff with a single strand Does My Head In. Not to mention the eyeballs!
