In my creative space is a sea of more crochet...I don't know what it is that's driving me at the moment but I seem to have discovered my inner robot - methodical and committed. It can post a word a day and it can churn out crochet pieces one after the other. I am part woman, part machine.
In the photograph you can see my completed teacosy and giveaway prize. I finished it off last night by crocheting some hearts which I got from Sarah London's "Hip to Hook" this month. I think they finish it off perfectly. It is so bright, colourful and cheerful and husband said he believes I'd receive high praise from the old ladies serving at the Children's hospital stall. That's quite a big complement don't you think?

My prized creation this week sits in the front of this photo and is an amazingly delicate jug cover I created from the wool I purchased from the tapestry workshop. I am so in love with the aqua and purple combination (which doesn't come through in this photo. The centre is bright aqua blue.). It just hits my retro, crass button. I loved it so much that I wanted to recreate it in a larger version so I could make a cushion out of it which you can see slung over the back of the chair in the first photograph. The cushion doesn't have the same appeal as the jug cover mainly because the wool I used is cheap and nasty so doesn't look as nice. I'll still turn it into a cushion though cos I love the colour combo so much. (probably a good thing this colour combo is only dominating my crochet at the moment...)
I'm also finishing off the red and dark pink jug cover that I posted yesterday. It too is made out of the Tapestry Workshop wool I purchased and is coming up beautifully. It's so nice to crochet such fine thread. You can't plough through fine crochet like you can with a thicker yarn and hook. You have to be gentle when you create each stitch otherwise your fine hook misses the mark or gets tangled in the yarn. There is something quite therapeutic in the delicacy of it all...
