Forest Skirt

I am in a mad rush this morning trying to pack to go away for the weekend but I am determined to post pictures of a new skirt I made for myself.  I call it the forest skirt and made it out of scraps of fabric I have accumulated over the years.  I am really happy with the way it turned out =D

Front detail - I backed the circles for the tree with interfacing to prevent over fraying.  I am hoping they fray a little because I think they will give the trees an interesting texture.

Back detail. I had to put a split in the back so I decided to add a mini tree to accentuate it.

It's really lovely, I hope you get lots of compliments when wearing it.
Did you make one for the wuppet you too ?

Thanks guys for all your lovely comments! It's nice thing to come home to after a weekend away! And no, I didn't make a skirt for my wuppet!. I prefer she doesn't wear clothes however, I did make clothes for her (and him) when I took a trip to Singapore/Malaysia/Cambodia last year cos I was afraid I might get arrested!!
