a little bit more...

The quilt project

I'm getting there...I have what I consider only a little bit more to go but since starting this project I've discovered that embroidery is or can be a very   s    l    o    w   process.  What appears to be a little bit is quite considerable in the amount of time needed to get it done.  Can't tell you how long it took me to do that curly hair and it's still not quite finished!!!

If you haven't visited the Quilt Project flickr group page yet then you definitely should do so now.  There is some amazing red work going on there and we are beginning to see more and more finished squares.  It's well worth the visit.

Rightio, I'm off to have another cup of earl grey with one of these.  I made a fresh batch yesterday and let me tell you, they are really, really good with cup of tea.  Very easy to make too.

Have a great Sunday.

Thanks Kirsty and Yes, it's extremely rewarding.  I like the way a project builds.  Must do some more when I've finished this square.

Thanks Gina.  I love the hair too.  If you saw my hair you'd know where I styled it from!

Thanks Kylie it's a fun project.  I'm leaning to the lighter grey for your beret.  I can see it with black velvet ribbon.  You happy with this lean?  I'm happy to lean the other way if you prefer...

Thanks Claire!  It's been a steep learning curve.  I've not embroidered before so everything is very new to me.  Having lots of fun though!

What a great project to be part of Melanie, your spin on a craft - inspirational as always. The applique coats are just the perfect choice with the red work. And the hair, WOW!!
