My Creative Space

It's hard to make a space look interesting when it's the same thing every week just a different colour! I am really scraping the barrel for excitement now. Dragging out the good 'ole diorama for a bit of colour and pizazz.

My Creative Space

Regardless, yes another starrberry beret in a noice coffee colour for a 21st birthday present. It's number 3 for the week and when you consider I work fulltime and had no real spare time over the weekend it's an impressive effort that I'm rather proud of. I have also written up the pattern for it (see this post) and are now nervously awaiting feedback from a couple of people who have started making one. (hope it's going ok Nikki!)

After I finish this one I am intending to take a forced break from crocheting to give my wrist and thumb a rest and have decided to pursue a bit of drawing, hence my pack of fineliners... I am also starting a yarn diary but more about that tomorrow...

Check out other creative spaces here...

(OOPs! Just realised the placement of Mr Wuppet's hand *blush*. It's a little bit naughty but was a complete accident I assure you...)

Thanks M* for the advice. I have decreased sooner and its looking ok now, it definitely needs a flower and some embellishment. I love the chunky yarn ive used but im planning to make my next one in Bamboo/cotton yarn to get that cool beret flop.

Love the wuppets accident BTW, i bet your hubby finds that Hysterical!

I'm dreaming of the day I have time to crochet one of your cute patterns. The muppets in the diorama made me laugh, they are so funny, I love popping in here to see what they're up to next :)

It makes me feel like I'm perving on a bit of a private moment. My crochet wrist was so sore I had to ask my pilates teacher for a bit of advice regarding the ergonomics of it all. Can't seem to stop though.

Just fabulous, Melanie!
You know, as much as I love them, you really don't need props to make your crochet look interesting!
Great post! :)  K

Oh! Oh, oh! I am sitting next to my sleeping son and almost woke him with my laughter. First the photo, then the oops at the end. Also, I love dioramas, so this post just rocks.

I was wondering why Mrs Wuppet's smile was smilier than normal!!

The hat looks like a nice one.

I just thought the Mr was just being very thoughtful in preserving the modesty of the Mrs!

Don'tcha just love a fresh new pack of pens? Mmmmmm I can almost smell them Mel! Have fun creating blisters in other places ... on your hands just to clarify ;)

Now if that's bottom-of-the-barrel propage, you have a damn fine create barrel. That diarama is so fine. I love it so much!

The dollhouse is amazing and I guess wouldn't be complete without a frisky man.  He's no Ken doll!

I have such a poor memory. Thought it might be a good idea to keep a record of what I use, when and what for so I have a record.
