So my favourite thing this week? My favourite thing this week has been this book...
Now they say you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover and this is one book that does nothing to sell itself on the outside. If it wasn't for the title I'd have never taken a look, but once you take a glance on the inside...
Voila? Non? Ooouuiii!! 250 glorious patterns of temptation under the one roof. I was so excited when I bought it. I am still excited! Think of all the experimenting with small I can do? This book has given me an myriad of ideas and experiments that I can do when I am feeling like taking on going blind for a few hours... In fact here are some bitsies I've produced over the last few days...
They are not completed patterns as such, I wanted to keep them to a certain size so I followed the first half only of some of the patterns. I think I really need to get some practice crocheting these motifs in a larger size but that means I'll have to do things twice and I'm lazy like that!!
So what was your favourite thing this week? Do you want to join in? If you do, then please leave a comment below and I'll pop by and take a look! Remember to link back here ok?

Hey you could use those little crocheted bits to make a little string bikini for your wuppet!
Playing again ~ in a geeky fashion.
What a gorgeous book - and those patterns! Just love it. I love your self portraits too - so cool! K
Oh, drooling over those crochet patterns. Cute little flowers too although the fabulous little peeps were trying to distract me in all their nude glory :-[
That's a great idea as long as I don't have to translate the bikini into the real life me!
It is gorgeous. Is it wrong for me to share patterns from the book? Like in the legal sense? I like sharing but the law doesn't. :(
Yes they are very naughty like that. The patterns are beautiful and not that complicated if you make them in a normal size...
Gulp. Never been wooed quite in this way by a crochet book before - but wow! those patterns are beautiful! Never going to get anywhere with my knitted rebel scarf at this rate...
Funnily enough I sat down yesterday to do a bit of pattern practice and have discovered an enormous amount of errors in the book. Half a pattern was completely missing and they tell you to do double crochet when you are supposed to do trebles. I am quite peeved about it.
Whoa there - thanks for stopping me on my tracks (I had pushed it to the top
of my wish list). I would be righting indignant letters of complaint! On the
upside, you'd probably learn a whole lot by trying to work your way through
to a real pattern that worked...T
amazing book! nice experiments!
