the complete encyclopedia of crafts

The Complete Encyclopedia of Crafts
They finally arrived after much anticipation.  Eight books from the Complete Encyclopedia of Crafts which is an extraordinary collection of 1970's craft ideas and 'how to'.  I bought these particular copies from my friend Rosemoo's etsy shop as she was offering them at a price that I couldn't resist.  These books are very special and there is a bit of tale behind their travels, but I won't go into that today.   Please see some highlights below...

Some sweet pot holders...

The Complete Encyclopedia of Crafts
A feathered cape.  I know you all want one.  I'll post a tutorial... ; )

The Complete Encyclopedia of Crafts
A legume mosaic...

The Complete Encyclopedia of Crafts
and I loved this crocheted skirt although this is a chapter about natural dyes and not crochet...

The Complete Encyclopedia of Crafts

I am very excited they have finally arrived and there is so many great ideas and tips in them that I don't know where to start!

oh a feathered cape! I'd love one! and of course no 70's craft book would be complete without something made out of legumes. What a divine set, I bet you'll have hours of fun out of these (and choosing what to make!)

Finally, a tutorial for a feathered cape. I mean really. Books these days just have so many crafts I can't use.

Well that does it. I will have to post a feathered cape tutorial! We can meet one night at a bar and flock together!

I'm so glad that the books arrived safely!! I was biting my nails worried. They got packed sort of fishily at the last minute.

YAY for books!
