my creative space

DSC04049

I know.  I'm becoming boring and repetitive.  Same old, same old.  Crochet and more crochet. I'm sorry.  I just don't get the time or space to do much else. Until I have my own room where I can have my sewing machines set up etc...(thinking probably 2025) I'm afraid my old reliable hand held craft is going to dominate.

Finished another jug cover and I'm going to attempt the cushion you see in the background as a gift.  Looking forward to sinking my teeth into it but I'm worried it's going to be one of those patterns that turns out to be half the size you think it is.  Will keep you posted.

Check out other creative spaces here...

sooooooooooooooooooo not boring. Actually maybe I have to think that to justify my own obsession.

I love the colour of the jug cover ... that blue is so intense. And what a great idea for a gift. Can't wait to see it finished.

There is absolutely nothing boring about you, in fact you are always wonderful to check in on.  Look forward to seeing the cushion as well.

I could look at your crochet pieces until the cows come home (and there aren't many of them around here!) so don't apologise. I've been dreaming of having a space too... there's so many in blogland now the envy factor is growing! K

I love crotchet, and that cushion looks super! I thank my Nan for teaching me when I was knee-high to a grass-hopper. Sitting side by side in her loungeroom crotcheting together by the open fire or with Knight Rider on the tellie. hahaha, the good old days!

Aww Thanks Cath.  In hindsight i should have omitted the boring bit.  I didn't mean to come across negatively!!  but thank you.  I'm glad you love it cos it's something I really love doing too.

LOL, I shouldn't have written boring. I feel so bad reading all the comments now!!  You don't need to justify your obsession.  It's the best obsession you can have.

Thanks Anita.  I'm glad you don't get sick of it. It's something I really love doing.  I was having one of those 'oh no not again' moments.

Thank you so much.  The light worked really well in this photograph didn't it?  I'm glad you liked it too.

Thanks Neen!  How are you?  I haven't seen you around for a while.  Are you well?

Thanks Belinda.  I'm always amazed with the amount of work you do too.

Yeah how is that envy factor?  Very hard sometimes.  I am tempted to make all my kids share the small bedroom

Thanks Chele.  I regret writing the word boring now!!  I feel silly for not thinking about how I'd come across.  What a goose!  thanks again for all the lovely things you've said.  I appreciate it

Yes, my nan taught me to knit!  I remember spending days sitting down with her making things.

Had to laugh at your Knight Rider on the tellie!  That brings back memories too!!

The cushion looks beautiful... what a lucky person to be having that made for them. Have you ever stopped by The Royal Sisters blog? Michelle crochets lots of cushions so she may have some advice on sizing.... And she is just lovely too.

I don't easily get tired of crochet, so post away! :)

The good news with the cushion being in the round is that if it's too small, you could keep adding rounds to the outside to make it larger.

Have fun!

Oh please..Don't stop the crochet...I love the company :)  Your work is great!

Not boring! Interesting to me, especially since I can't crochet-- and I was just discussing and hinting at my Gran to make me a milk jug cover, she was cleaning out her cupboard and came accross a big bottle filled with old school beads that her Mum used for these covers-- so sweet!
And I love that colour blue!

Nothing boring about abit of crochet. I'm all just sketching, sketching. Creating anything deserves at least a little golf clap I think :)

Thanks Nikki, yes I do know Michelle and her blog.  She makes stunning cushions!  I love the colours she uses and the rosette pattern is just beautiful.  I've made a start on the pattern and it's quite large so I am rather pleased!
