my creative space

my creative space

Just a quick one from me this week.  I am so swamped with the rest of my life so time is short.

I am still working on the cushion although as mentioned yesterday, it's giving me the sh*ts but I'm determined to get it finished because it's going to look mighty fine when it's done.

BUT!...I have started something else.  Yes, I know you've noticed that delicious rainbow, ruffly striped bit of crochet in the front of my basket.  You want to know what it is don't you?  Want to take a closer look?

my creative space

Isn't it wild?  It's so outrageously bright and colourful.  So what is it?  Why it's going to be my giveaway prize for the Blogtoberfest!  Yep, it's going to be a teacosy.  I am so in love with it.  The colours make me laugh and I got to learn a new stitch.  A front post treble, abbreviated as fptr -so cool.  I've adapted this pattern to fit my own teapot and hopefully it will fit one of yours!  I'll post more about the giveaway this Saturday.

We are so on the same page. I've been googling tea cosie patterns too. Loving the fptr. Bren was looking over my shoulder and reading out a pattern last night and I felt so proud I could understand and follow it. Kinda like another language.

Why does it have to be so hard to finish one thing at a time with Crochet???

Your work is lovely so no matter, the colors are fab!!!

wow, those colours are amazing! Who doesn't love a teacosy? Do you know that quote from Billy Connolly? He said never trust a person who is left alone in a room with a tea cosy and doesn't put it on their head. Now, I think I could stop myself wearing yours as a hat but I would love to put it on my teapot. Lovely! xo

MUST. HAVE. THAT. TEACOSY!!!!! It's glorious Melanie. Ruffly and bright and cosy and scrumptious!

Ahhh makes me happy just looking at it :)  and makes me feel like a cuppa. My teapot is embarrassingly nude at the moment. So although I suck at poetry I am willing to give it a red hot go for that bit of lovliness!
